Rev. Jerry Buss
Pastor Jerry Buss is the Director for Evangelical Mission in the NW Washington Synod. His calls have been at St. Andrew in Beaverton, Oregon; Peace in Astoria, Oregon; and Oak Harbor in Oak Harbor, Washington. Jerry is married and is a step-father to two children. He grew up working on dairy farms in Wisconsin and started down the path of becoming an engineer before experiencing a call to become a pastor. For several years he was part of a group of men from the church in Astoria who annually went on a trip where the one requirement was to do something risky enough to cause reflection on life and death. (To which their wives said: "Just make sure your life insurance is paid up!" One wife, whose husband was a police officer, sent along his uniform and said: "If he dies, stuff him in it, because the life insurance doubles if he dies in uniform!")
This event will be a combination workshop and work party.
After lunch we will have the opportunity to tour Camp Lutherwood and then participate in several small work projects.
Lunch will be provided - a suggested freewill offering of $10.00 will be taken to cover the meal cost. We need your reservations as early as possible so that we will know how many meals to prepare.
